Dietrich Bonfhoeffer Book Cover : These photos are proofs for the cover of Volume 10 of the Collected Works of Dietrich Bonhoeffer (US critical edition) to be published by Fortress Press. They are derived from a Union Theological Seminary Class Photograph in 1931. Unfortunately, there is no original photo or negative to be found so the class photo has been scanned from a book. The photos below are revisions of an earlier proof of the book cover. In these some of the background has been retained but diminished to make Bonhoeffer's image stand out. Earlier proofs had removed the background entirely. Those earlier proofs and the actual full-size TIFF originals of these photos can be found at http://studiolightplay.com/db_fortress
